Abstract

Asymmetrical dichlorethylene is produced by stirring 1 : 1 : 1- or 1 : 1 : 2-trichlorethane in the cold with milk of lime for several hours, then the temperature is gradually raised, and the dichlorethylene is distilled off through a fractionation column. In the example, the mixture is heated by means of steam to 70-80 DEG C. before the distillation.
