349,318. Colour kinematography. TECHNICOLOR MOTION PICTURE CORPORATION, 110, Brookline Avenue, Boston, U.S.A.-(Assignees of Troland, L. T.; 110, Brookline Avenue, Boston, U.S.A.) May 31, 1930, No. 16892. Convention date, June 15, 1929. [Class 97 (i).] Kinematograph films bearing three or more series of colour-record images are exposed through filters comprising one filter which functions simultaneously in conjunction with each of two others. As shown, a lens O, in conjunction with prisms PP<1> having a reflecting- transmitting surface D, produces geometricallylike, laterally-reversed images I, I<1> on a film F. A rotating shutter S is provided having two apertures either or each of which contains a filter 5, 6, functioning simultaneously in conjunction with filters 1, 2. The images may be taken in alternating pairs to produce four series of records, or an auxiliary shutter may be provided between one prism and the film to cut out one series of exposures when only three series of records are required. The images may be produced in single rank on one film, or on two films moving in paths at right-angles to that of the single film.
