Abstract

486,005. Colour photography. GROVES, W. W. (I. G. Farbenindustrie Akt.-Ges.) Oct. 26, 1936, No. 29042. [Class 98 (ii)] A multi-layer material has three superimposed silver halide emulsion layers each containing a dyestuff component fast to diffusion, the layer nearest the support being green sensitive and yielding a red image, the intermediate layer being red sensitive to give a blue image, and the uppermost layer being blue sensitive and giving a yellow image. The dyestuff components may be those described in Specifications 458,400, 465,823, 479,838, 483,000, and 484,698. The red sensitive layer includes a sensitizer of a high sensitivity to red and having a gap in the blue green, e.g. as described in Specifications 383,486, 400,951, 402,521, 410,481, 480,778, and 483,548. A yellow filter dyestuff may be included in a gelatine layer between the blue-sensitive and red-sensitive layers, and may also be included in the blue-sensitive layer itself. The material may be used for reversal or negative-positive processes. If an opaque support is used, the pictures may be viewed by reflected light. Specification 444,198 also is referred to.
