Abstract
347,929. Submarine cables. NORDDEUTSCHE SEEKABELWERKE AKT.- GES., Nordenham-on- Weser, Germany. June 2, 1930, No. 17028. Convention date, June 1, 1929. [Class 36.] To reduce the losses in a submarine cable, the cores are insulated with white tjipetir which may be admixed with guttapercha, balata or their substitutes. The insulation may be applied in layers, the inner layer consisting of pure white tjipetir and the subsequent layers of mixtures of white tjipetir with gutta-percha, or entirely of guttapercha. Specification 1346/15, [Class 36, Electricity, Conducting &c.], is referred to.
