Abstract
347,599. Inductances; induction controllers. GEDDES, J. W., Katu, Bodley Road, New Malden, and HOOK, G. R., 41, Ruskin Drive, Worcester Park, both in Surrey. Jan. 25, 1930, No. 2653. [Class 37.] A variable reactor comprises a U- shape member g having a laminated core f secured thereto, the side legs of the member g straddling the coil a, and the core f sliding within the coil, on relative movement between the coil and core. The coil is mounted on an iron baseplate c, and the member g is prevented from making contact therewith by insulation d. The reactor may be employed with coil-winding machines driven by alternating-current motors.
