Abstract

To prevent damage to the medulla or core of animal fibres due to the ozone treatments described in Specifications 242,027, [Class 15 (ii), Dyeing, Processes &c. for], and 317,133, [Class 42 (i), Fabrics, Finishing &c.], such fibres or fabrics containing them are subjected to the action of gaseous or liquid solutions of formaldehyde alone or in the presence of alkaline or acid solutions or gases such as are usually employed in the preliminary processes for purifying the fibres.
