Abstract
344,387. Spinning spindle-apparatus. BENSON, A. L., 28, Cowgate, Dundee, Nov. 28, 1929, No. 36409. [Class 120 (ii).] In spinning, twisting, doubling, roving, and like frames wherein the flyers are mounted in bearings concentric with the spindles, the flyers are mounted in pivoted members so that they may be lowered on to, or lifted away from the spindle. The flyer 1 is supported by the inner race 2 of the ball bearing, the outer race of which is secured to the lever 5, 6. The flyer may be provided with a transverse pin 4 which engages a notch in the spindle 3, or with a boss having a polygonal recess adapted to engage the correspondingly shaped end of the spindle.
