Abstract
1 : 4 : 41-Trihydroxy-2 : 21-dianthraquinonyl-3 : 11 oxide is obtained by treating 1 : 4 : 11 : 41 : tetrahydroxy-2 : 21-dianthraquinonyl with boiling nitronaphthalene, cooling and crystallizing. Other high-boiling nitro-compounds may be used. Specification 10074/03, [Class 2, Acids and salts, Organic &c.], is referred to.
