341,740. Drying clothes. KEMP, J. A., LEVYSOHN, R., MUUSFELDT, O., and PALUDAN, H. C., (trading as KEMP & LAURITZEN), 7, Vester Voldgade, Copenhagen. Feb. 8, 1930, No. 4345. Convention date, Feb. 9, 1929. [Class 34 (ii).] In order to remove water from washed clothes, the clothes are placed within an imperforate collapsable bag 1 which is clamped in a rigid container 5 beneath a cover 9 in which a strainer 14 is arranged beneath an opening 11 communicating with a pipe 12. The container is provided with a nipple 6 to which a pipe from a water main may be connected. When the pressure water passes to the container the bag collapses and squeezes the clothes contained therein, the water thereby expressed passing through the pipe 12. Alternatively the pipe 12 may be connected to a pump and the device work under suction.
