884,966. Sink &c. strainers. A. E. I.- HOTPOINT Ltd. Nov. 26, 1959 [Dec. 30, 1958], No. 42079/58. Class 26. [Also in Group VIII] A liquid strainer for a washing machine (see Group VIII) comprises a tubular body 6 having a series of slots 9, and a cover 10 spaced from the body 6, the strainer allowing e.g. lint to pass through rut preventing comparatively large objects. The cover 10 has a pin 11 removably fitting into a rubber grommet 12 carried by a cross bar 8. Lugs 7 on the body 6 are riveted to a flange 4 on a drain pipe 3. Specification 652,169 is referred to.
