Abstract

337,773. Eyre, R. Aug. 6, 1929. Sanitary and hygienic devices. -A device for cleaning and disinfecting telephone mouthpieces comprises a container A for holding absorbent material saturated with disinfectant, the material being kept in position by a perforated cone-shaped cup B into which is removably fitted a correspondingly coneshaped stopple C provided with an absorbent covering adapted to be impregnated by the disinfectant in the container, the stopple being removed from the container and applied to the telephone mouthpiece to clean and disinfect it. The container may be provided with a clip for securing the device to the standard of a telephone instrument.
