Abstract

224,384. Lash, S. Nov. 16, 1923. Sanitary and hygienic devices.-A device for cleaning the mouthpiece of a telephone receiver consists of an abserbent fabric formed as a removable bag E, Fig. 3, fitting closely over and completely filled by a plug A, Fig. 1, connected to a handle B. The fabric may be attached to the plug by an elastic band F sewn at the top of the bag and adapted to spring into a recess C between the body A of the plug and a flange D. In a modification, Fig. 4, the body of the plug is provided with longitudinal recesses into which rubber tubes G are fitted, over which tubes the bag can be slipped. The fabric is preferably coated with an antiseptic powder.
