[Class 40 (iv).] Disinfecting means for a telephone mouthpiece comprises a vessel c containing disinfectant, Fig. 1, clipped to the standard b at d and provided with a screwed plug e enabling it to be filled. The enlargement o may be replaced by the arrangement shown in Fig. 5 in which the upper end of the wick g is knotted at b and surrounded by sponge s retained in position by an apertured indiarubber 'cap t. The Provisional Specification describes constructions in which'the wick passing through the outlet tube is connected to a sponge located in a suitable holder and normally in such a position that it either closes the opening of the mouthpiece or actually projects within same.
