Abstract

339,380. Lucas, G. H. Sept. 18, 1929. Sanitary and hygienic devices.-A device for disinfecting a telephone or like mouthpiece comprises a tubular member 1 secured to the mouthpiece 2 by a cap 3 and containing a. phial 4 for holding disinfectant. A wick 5 projects from the phial and passes through the member 1 into a chamber 6 in the cap 3 which is provided with a perforation 7 to allow the disinfectant to pass continuously in a vaporized state from the wick into the mouthpiece. A quantity of air containing disinfectant can also be projected into the mouth. piece at any desired moment by compression of a rubber bulb 8 secured on the member.
