Abstract
335,848. Sulzer FrÞres Soc. Anon. March 30, 1929, [Convention date]. Cylinders, cooling.-In a cooling system in which liquid is circulated by an electricallydriven pump 6 and some of the cylinder jackets are provided with electric heaters 10, a. switch 21 is arranged to cut-out the heaters when the pump is being driven, and vice versa; in an intermediate position the switch 21 cuts-out both. The current is normally supplied by a battery 11, but a switch 22 and leads 20 enable the heaters to be connected to an external source when the engine is inactive. The cooling liquid is circulated through a radiator 9 to a tank 7, valves 12 enabling the jackets, containing the heaters 10, to be isolated.
