Alloys; dry processes of refining lead.-A soldering or metal-coating lead alloy or deoxidized lead consists of lead containing an amount of phosphorus predetermined in accordance with the rate of oxidation and the oxygen contents of the metals with which it is to be used in contact. The lead may contain 1-3 parts of phosphorus to 10,000 parts of lead. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 25705/98, 140,278, 234,648 and 296,584.
