Abstract

335,263. English Electric Co., Ltd., and Morris, F. June 22, 1929. Shoe collectors 6 are supported by converging slotted links 7 pivoted at 8 to a carrier 3, a bias pressure being applied to the links. The bias is applied by a spring 11 normally just clear of pins 12 on the links 7 and close to the pivots 8, the spring coming into action as soon as the shoe is lifted by a ramp. The carrier 3 has serrations 5 for adjustably connecting to a frame 1 carried by cross members 2 of the vehicle, frame, the securing bolts passing through slots 4 in the frame 1.
