Abstract

334,738. Siemens & Halske Akt.- Ges. March 28, 1929, [Convention date]. Addition to 286,673. Tin, depositing.-Alkaline tin lyes containing no plumbite or bismuthite or other not readily oxidizable compound of these metals are treated with an oxidizing agent for the quantitative conversion of all tin into the form of stannate and are then electrolyzed without addition of a colloid. Ozone, hydrogen-peroxide, alkali or alkaline earth metal peroxides or potassium permanganate may be used as the oxidizing agent.
