The clips have outwardly-extending spikes b, further spikes c higher up the clip, and internal ribs d. A tongue f rests on the stock and locates the clip. The clips are placed in the hole of the broom, and on driving in the handle the spikes are forced into the stock, the ridges d gripping the handle, which is further secured by a screw at g.
