Abstract

213.472. Parry J. June 6, 1923. Holders with clamping-devices for mops.- A mop-holder comprises a socket B with flanges b<1>, a recessed clamping plate C and a U-shaped member D. The socket B and the plate C are formed with slots b<2>, c<2> respectively. The limbs of the member D are each slotted to form a pair of lugs d<1>, d<2>. In assembling the mop the fabric is placed within the member D, the limbs of which are passed through the slots c<2> in the plate C, one pair of legs d<1> being bent inwardly to fit in the recess c<1> in the plate C, the remaining pair of legs d<2> being passed through the slots b<2> in the socket B and bent outwardly and downwardly. Toothed holding-devices for socket fixings.- The socket is secured to the mop handle A by means of a spike b<3> and a screw, the latter passing through a hole b<4> in the socket.
