136,378. Warren, H. W. Feb. 14, 1919. Lug attachments with barb or tooth holding-devices for socket fixings.-A device for locking or securing a broom or like handle in its socket comprises a plate a adapted to fit against, and be secured to, the handle, having two legs or extensions b the ends of which are bent to form teeth c, and barbs d may also be provided. The extensions bare placed in the socket of the broom, and when the handle is driven in, the teeth c, d engage and are driven into the walls of the socket. The plate a is then secured to the handle by a nail &c. through the hole e.
