Abstract

120,870. Alexander, G. H., and Thompson, J. A. Sept. 10, 1918. Barb, toothed, and like holding- devices.-A device for fixing the handle of a broom, mallet, &c. comprises a metal strip a -bent into U form and provided with inwardly-directed spikes b at its upper end and outwardly-directed spikes c stamped out of the middle of its sides. It is placed in the socket of the broom-head &c., and when the handle is driven home, the spikes c enter the sides of the socket, and spikes b enter, or are subsequently driven into the handle. Specifications 33356/95, [Class 19, Brushing &c.], and 9679/11 are referred. to.
