Abstract

255,703. Franklin, A. C. Nov. 20, 1925. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Joints.-A device for fastening broom handles, their legs, &c. in their sockets comprises a strip of metal with toothed vertical edges bent over at right angles in opposite directions so that when the handle &c. F is driven into the hole in the brush &c. G the teeth D bite into the handle and the teeth B into the wall of the hole, the top end A of the plate being bent over to form a stop. Both toothed vertical edges may be bent over in the same direction, the plate in this case being provided with teeth or extrusions projecting in the opposite direction.
