333,531. Brooke, Bond, India, Ltd., and Wood, C. May 13, 1929. Auxiliary belts.-In an endless belt conveyer for transporting bags, &c. of the kind having a pair of belts travelling together and parallel to each other which are pressed together by pressing devices carrying rollers adapted to bear on each belt and arranged in staggered relation, the belts 1 are adapted to travel horizontally with their surfaces vertical and the pressing devices 9 are inclined to the direction of travel of the belts. Each pressing device comprises a double-armed pivoted lever 9, one arm of which is forked and carries a roller 10 and the other arm of which is acted on by a spring 16.
