Abstract

331,698. Smith, J. A. Spencer-. July 10, 1929. Moulds.-A tyre vulcanizing mould for vulcanizing different sizes of types is built up of standard sized ring elements 1, 2, and 5, with variable sized outer and inner tread rings 3, 4. The steel outer tread ring 3 may include a removable tread moulding part 8, constructed of cast iron, aluminium, white metal or hard rubber. The rim forming parts 5 are held together by the bolt 6 and spaced apart by the spacing ring 7. Specification 309,302, [Class 70, Indiarubber &c.], is referred to.
