Abstract

331,169. Nicolet, W. Nov. 3, 1928, [Convention date]. Healds; shedding- motions.-Relates to looms in which two groups of warps at an angle to each other form two sheds, one behind the other, into which weft threads are inserted simultaneously or in rapid succession, the front weft being beaten up first, and then, after changing the shed, the second weft. In order that the threads of one set of warps 1, or 2 may pass correctly through the threads of the other set, tha teeth of the shed-forming combs 6, are guided in gaps in comb-like bars 5. The bars may have openended or closed gaps or apertures for the teeth of the combs, and they may be fixed or movable in directions opposite to those of the combs.
