331,094. Smith, Ewen, & Stylic, Ltd., and Harman, A. H. June 25, 1929. Buckles.-A buckle for use in adjusting bracelets, belts &c. comprises a frame a having two loop bars a<1>, a<2> through which the band b is passed and between which is located a movable tongue or locking-bar d adapted to be pushed under the part of the band lying between the sides of the buckle, thereby gripping the band between the locking-bar and the edge of the loop bars. The frame is provided with an eye f, a groove e, and a socket g to guide the looking-bar and to support it when in its pushed-in position. The frame also has a hinge c for connecting thereto the returned end part b<1> of the band b.
