Bracelets, bangles, and the like bands.-An expansible bracelet or bangle comprises a resilient band divided at one point with a short curved or bent strip lying over or under the ends of the band on each side of the division, and slidably connected therewith, as by loops, suitable stop means being provided to prevent separation of the band and strip. In the form shown in Fig. 2, a strip d of half the thickness of the band a, and bent to correspond in shape with the polygonal shape of the band, is provided at each end with a loop e sliding upon the band and contacting in the limiting expanded position with guide loops f on the ends of the band. In the closed position the loops e bear against shoulders on the ends b, c of the band a, the bent shape of the strip d helping to maintain the band closed. A similar arrangement for a circular band is described. Fig. 5 shows a section in the expanded position of a further form, wherein a stop l is provided on the strip m to define the closed position of the band.
