Abstract

164,640. Harrison, G. W., and Clapson, F. E. Aug. 20, 1920. Bracelets and like bands.-Each expansible unit of a bracelet, belt or the like comprises a main link A divided into upper and lower compartments by an horizontal wall B, and upper and lower links C, D sliding within the outer edges of the link A and retained and guided by turned-over edges H thereon. The links C, D slide in opposite directions against springs I, the upper link C of one unit being hingedly connected to the lower link D of the next unit by an 8-shaped piece of metal E soldered to the link C. The two lower end links D are provided between upturned lips F with connectors G for attachment to a watch, and the upper links C of the two middle units are connected by a ring. For extra wide bracelets the sliding links may be provided with a division or division strips K, Fig. 7, and several springs.
