Fastenings for bags; catches, automatic.-A swivelling member A is slotted or grooved at D to receive a member F, the end of which moves, as the members F, D are brought into an assembled position, into a position on the other side of the axis C, as shown. The fastening is released by turning the member A so that the member F is pushed to the other side of the axis. A stop E is provided for the member A, which member may be provided with ridges to facilitate its operation between the fingers. The member F is forced into the upper part of the groove or notch D by its own resilience, or it may be formed as a slidable member movable in a guide slot under spring action.
