Abstract

330,725. Eglinton, W. D. May 10, 1929. Spectacles and goggles having pivoted side shields fitted at the sides of the eyerims have such side shields detachable from the rims. The pivots g, h are fixed in the upper and lower portions of the rims a, b and consist of headed pins enabling the ends of the side shields to be passed over them and moved into positions wherein the slotted portion engages the pivots and the heads of the pins retain the shields in place but permit them to rotate on the pivots for folding. The shields are each provided with a recess to fit over the hinge portions of the sides of the frame.
