Bedrests.-A bedrest comprises two frames a, b, hinged together at c so as to lie in line with each other and form a continuous supporting surface, Fig. 1, or to lie at an angle to each other, Fig. 2, the frame b being adapted to be supported by the head e of the bed and the frame a supported by the bed.. Means for holding the two frames at an angle to each other may comprise a toothed quadrant g and pawl h, or may consist of strips S of webbing which pass through their point of maximum tension as the frames are moved from their aligned position to the position shown in Fig. 2.
