Axle - trucks and bogies. - In undercarriages comprising an end platform formed in one piece either by being cast or its members being welded together the entire buffing and draught forces are caused to be transmitted through the platform to the side sills. The platform, which comprises end and side sills 3, 4 and body bolster 2, is provided with diagonal members 5 arranged as shown to transmit the forces to the side sills 4. A transom 6 may be provided between which and the end sill 3 the buffing and draught gears 9, 10, 12, which may be of various forms, are arranged. The side sills 4 are secured to the side sills 7 of the undercarriage proper.
