Abstract
330,168. Borrelli, A. July 12, 1929. Ankle and foot-arch supports.-An ankle or foot-arch support comprises a piece of material a such as leather, rubber or elastic, fabric shaped to accommodate itself to the achilles tendon b and to pass over the ankle joint to a strapping g, which may be integral with the support, passing around the arch f of the foot and through apertures h formed near the upper edge of the support. The material a is provided with holes e through which the ankles project. The lower branches d of the support are joined together beneath the arch of the foot. The strap g is joined to the lower part of the material under the arch f, and the ends thereof are secured by a buckle &c. j. In a modification, Fig. 4, the material is not united under the arch of the foot but a pair of straps m are united to that edges d, the straps crossing each other under the arch of the foot as. well as above it.
