Foot - arch supports; bandages. - An instep banadge 1, which can be tightened as desired by a lacing device lying in the root-arch, has an elastic strip 4 secured thereto at the join to hold the bandage on the foot when the lacing is undone. Lacing is effected by a cord 8 which is passed around buttons 2, 3 attached to flaps 6, 7 on the bandage 1. A strip 9 of soft leather is disposed under buttons 2, 3 and has a shaped tongue 10, which may be of rubber or leather, which is inserted between strip 4 and flaps 6, 7. Any other support for correcting the foot may be similarly disposed in the bandage and may be of leather, rubber, wood, metal &c. The flaps 6, 7 may be dispensed with and the buttons 2, 3 attached to the edges of bandage 1. The bandage 1 may be of unstretchable fabric, leather &c.
