Abstract

445,921. Foot - deformity appliances. FROST, L. M., 5, West Park Road, Newport, Monmouthshire. Sept. 19, 1934, No. 25979 /35. Divided application. [Class 81 (ii)] A hammer-toe corrector comprises a rigid platform having means 4 for securing around the foot and one or more loops 5 each constituted by a strap the ends of which are passed through slots in, and fastened together beneath said platform as by a buckle, each loop carrying a soft pad 7 of cotton wool or the like recessed on its underside to bear on the toe joint. The platform is covered with chamois leather and carries a pad 3 of cotton wool or the like. The multiple toe corrector of Fig. 3 is adapted to support the anterior transverse arch. According to the Provisional Specification the toe loop may be endless and in part elastic.
