In the construction shown the shafts c are driven from the main gear-box f through a transverse shaft e and differential gear o, and drive the wheels through worm gearing m, transverse universally-jointed shafts k and spur gearing i, h. The drive from the gear-box may be disconnected by means of a sliding pinion q.
