Hydrogenized organic compounds, catalytic production of.-Dipentene is treated with hydrogen at elevated temperatures under pressure in the presence of a hydrogenation catalyst, preferably with a basis of nickel until the combination with hydrogen is complete. The menthane is then separated from the catalyst.
