327,492. Clare, G. E. Jan. 28, 1929. Drawings to Specification. Rail-or-road vehicles. - A railway vehicle having adjustable road-wheels to adapt it for running on ordinary roads when required, is provided with means whereby the vehicle when drawn along a railway may charge accumulators; the accumulators when the vehicle is running on roads may supply current to propelling motors. The charging dynamo is driven by chain or other gearing from the rail wheels. A road vehicle with a propelling motor may be run on to a railway trolly having longitudinal supports and guides for the wheels, while hinged extensions or ramps may be provided for running the vehicle on to and off the trolly.
