Abstract

Wheels (1) in contact with the ground are mounted on a chassis (2) hinged at its upper end to the vehicle chassis and carrying cams (4). The wheels are coupled by a chain (5). There is an equaliser (6) with a projection (7) giving alternate movements to forks which drive the dynamos (11) to recharge the batteries. These can feed the motor (13) driving a back axle assembly (15) which normally drive the vehicle. Outside restricted pollution areas the vehicle runs on the engine, at the same time the wheels (1) ensure that the battery is charged for later use in non restricted pollution areas.
