Abstract
326,947. Danger, H. H. F., and Danger, O. G. L., (trading as Danger, H.). Nov. 20, 1928, [Convention date]. Rolling - machines; cylinder machines.-The dough band c is introduced between a roller a having pockets ,d for the dough pieces e and a contacting roller b having recesses f corresponding in shape, size and arrangement with the full portions of the roller a so that the dough pieces are cut out and pressed into the pockets e while the scrap is pressed into the the recesses f. Expellers g within the pockets d are controlled by a heavy roller i floatingly arranged within the roller a and sustained by antifriction balls or rollers on push members k connected to the expellers by rods h so that the lower expellers are pushed outwardly to discharge the dough pieces. As shown, the pockets d are rectangular and the recesses f comprise intersecting straight channels and annular grooves. The scrap is loosened at the top and led away. The roller a comprises an inner wall m and a snugly fitting outer wall n having holes forming the pockets d; the walls m, n may be of sectional construction. Needles o for ventilating the dough and dies p for marking may be mounted on the bottoms of - the pockets, transversing loosely the expeller plates g. To prevent prematura discharge an endless belt r contacts with the roller a, being guided by rollers s, t and driven by a friction roller u. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also a modification, Fig. 5, (Cancelled), for treating soft dough, the upper roller b being replaced by a roller v with annular grooves w. The dough band c has a greater thickness than that of the pieces to be formed and an adjustable reciprocating knife x is arranged to contact with the roller a. Dough in the grooves w tends to raise the dough pieces out of the pockets d and they will be cut to a given thickness according to the adjustment of the knife x. The scrap may be removed or may combine with the dough band c on the other side of the roller v. The belt r may be driven by the lower roller s and may be supported at the middle part by a roller y. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
