Abstract

325,243. Nyborg, T. G., and Higgins, M. F. Nov. 14, 1928. Jigging conveyers.-The rim a of the end section q of a jigging conveyer is gripped between a fixed jaw c and a lever-actuated spring-pressed jaw b provided at each end of a casting d secured to the adjacent section p. The jaws b are pivoted at e to the casting and are acted on bv springs f placed between them and stops g on the casting. The lever k fixed to the shaft n carries a cam j which bears against a cam h on the adjacent jaw b. A cam m fixed to the end of the shaft bears against a cam l on the other jaw b. A spring o connected to the casting and handle maintains the latter in a substantially vertical position. The jaws b are raised and the rim released when the lever is turned.
