Abstract

324,081. Greene, J. A., and Bindphast Products, Ltd. Oct. 18, 1928. Composition fuel.-Fuel consists of a bituminous or like combustible substance such as coal with a small quantity of calcined dolomite. The mixture is treated with a solution of chlorine in water or dilute hydrochloric acid to produce a plastic mass. The calcined dolomite and chlorine solution or acid may be mixed first and then added to the combustible substance. To assist drying after moulding into briquettes a small quantity of alum or other substance may be added to the mixture and to produce a slow burning fuel clay or other non-combustible substance may be added.
