323,908. Johnson, J. Y., (I. G. Farbenindustrie Akt.-Ges.). Dec. 31, 1928. Sulphur is recovered from solutions of alkalimetal polysulphides, which term includes ammonium polysulphides, by heating the solution to temperatures between 150 and 374‹C. in a closed vessel and withdrawing the separated sulphur. The Specification gives examples in which sulphur is separated from a solution of ammonium polysulphides at 330‹C., and from a solution of potassium polysulphides at 325‹C. The corresponding pressures are about 220 and 160 atmospheres respectively.
