Folding bracks. - A hinged rack or shelf a for use on gas cookers or other cooking apparatus is provided at each end with cranked arms b each having an inward projection c engaging a vertical abutment f formed on the corresponding supporting standard d. When the shelf is horizontal, Fig. 2, it is supported by the projection c engaging the top of the abutment f, by one limb of the arm b resting on a horizontal ledge h, and by stops j which contact with the rear of the shelf. When the shelf is moved to the out-of-use position shown in Fig. 3 the projection c slides down the abutment f and finally engages in a recess g at the lower end, whilst the other limb of the arm b comes to rest on the ledge h. The projection c may be replaced by a rod joining the two arms b. When the part a is in the form of a rack a supplementary flat shelf k may be pivoted to it.
