Driving external machines. - A primary coupling member b, in which the trailer member may rotate, is pivoted by means of a vertical pin l to a yoke whose upper and lower arms are clamped at e to the rear axle y of the tractor. The connection between the arms and the clamps e is by pivot pins d. Machinery, such as a mixer, on the trailer may be driven by the tractor engine through shafts k, r, v and bevel pinions. A shaft on the trailer is inserted in a hollow shaft f gea.red to a pinion m mounted at the lower end of the pin l. This is geared through bevel wheels and a shaft n to a shaft r, which may be coupled to a cross shafts v by means of a clutch lever x.
