Abstract

321,106. Binks, K. R. Dec. 24, 1928. Drawings to Specification. Refractory substances containing chromite.- An auxiliary nozzle for attachment to the main nozzle of a casting ladle is made of finely crushed chromite mixed with a bonding medium which may be china-clay or fireclay. For example, about 19 parts of chromite may be mixed with 1-4 parts of bonding medium in the presence of about 2 per cent of water, and the mixture pressed and fired at about 1450-1500‹ C.
