Abstract
321,087. Armstrong Whitworth Aircraft, Ltd., Sir W. G., Lloyd J., and Murray, C. V. Dec. 6, 1928. Steering. - The arms of a rudder bar carry brackets adjustable about the axis of the bar to enable them to be engaged by the feet of pilots of different height. The brackets comprise stems 8 on sleeves 9 surrounding the arms of the rudder bar and support bars 11 with footrests 12 parallel to and extending beyond the rudder bar. The inner ends of the bars 11 are connected by links or a shackle 14 to a nut 17 which can be moved by a screwed shaft 16 turning in a boss on the rudder bar and provided with a hand wheel 18.
