320,980. Knight, W. G. A. Jan. 11, 1929. Ordnance, war-rocket.-A line-throwing rocket gun A is carried by a bracket D trunnioned at R in a forked carriage K mounted on a vertical pivot K<2>. This pivot may be carried by a plate N adapted for attachment to the line box, or by a strap suitable for clamping to a post or rail. The rocket is attached to a holder A<1>, Fig. 14, the parts A<2> of which are connected to wires G<1>, Fig. 9, carrying balance weights G<2>, a stretcher G<3>, and an eye G<4> for the line. The rocket so mounted is sliden into the gun muzzle, the slots B in which act as guides for vanes on the rocket holder. The rocket is fired by a friction tube inserted in a breech-block G hinged to the breech and retained by a catch F. The gun is fitted with a foresight C, backsight J and an elevation indicator E.
