Abstract

319,074. General Electric Co., Ltd., and Kaula, R. J. June 19, 1928. Binding-posts.- The wire is connected to a lamp holder contact or other spindle by means of a terminal 18 having a longitudinal hole 29 communicating with a lateral hole 30 and provided with a binding screw 32. A single oblique hole may be employed alternatively and the wire is introduced through the lateral opening. The terminal may form part of the lamp-holder contacts 23, the spindle 19 being surrounded by a spring 27 fitted in recesses in the body 1. The terminals are separated and shielded by insulating guards as described in Specification 285,785 and the wires are gripped between a projection 8 and the cover 2 as described in Specification 285,148.
